Reading & Leeds headline and brand new music: Arctic Monkeys

Indie legends Arctic Monkeys are set to conclude the main stage at Reading and Leeds festival this weekend, after announcing a brand new album, ‘The Car’, being made available on 21st October 2022.

The Sheffield four-piece received attention on social media platforms recently at the news of debuting a brand new unreleased track at their gig in Zurich at the Openair festival on August 23rd. ‘I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am’ seems to be a continuation of the style showcased in the Monkey’s sixth studio album ‘Tranquility Base Hotel And Casino’, which was notably different to their existing discography.

The setlist included plenty of crowd pleasers (which would be difficult for Arctic Monkey’s to omit) in the form of R U Mine?, Teddy Picker, Do Me A Favour and much more.

Headline shows at world renowned festivals is light work for the UK culture icons, with their headline show at the upcoming Reading and Leeds festival providing fans from across the world with the anticipation of hearing new music live. Arctic Monkeys headline the main stage on Saturday in Leeds, and Sunday in Reading.

According to Twitter fan page ‘Arctic Monkeys Tour’ (@monkeystour), the new LP will feature 10 tracks, including ‘There’d Better Be A Mirrorball’, ‘Sculptures Of Anything Goes’ and ‘Jet Skis On The Moat’.
