‘Doggerland’ will be the third album from multi-instrumentalist Rudi Zygadlo, his first in ten years.
Released digitally on June 30th and physically on 22nd September, ‘Doggerland’ provides pop music as escapism, outlaying a bright interpretation of the inevitable world’s end. Lead single, ‘In The Midden’ released 9th May, showcases the idea of inhabiting a landfill, featuring humorous lyricism and optimistic instrumentals.
Zygadlo comments on ‘In The Midden’: “It’s the end of the world, but it’s eerily upbeat.”

Accompanied by a music video that encapsulates the fun energy from the song, shots of Zygadlo dancing on motorways are cut between footage of food/ product waste, supermarkets and television game shows. Albeit a very entertaining video, the underlying message of waste and excessive environmental damage poses consideration for viewers amidst the light-hearted nature of the tune – and Zygadlo’s upbeat vibe.
